For the second straight week the University of Minnesota men's hockey team is on top of both major college polls with unanimous first-place votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and rankings.

After a weekend that saw a 3-3 tie and 6-1 win over then-ranked No. 5 Boston College, the Gophers (5-0-1) hold the top spot and extend a consecutive unbeaten streak to 14.

St. Cloud State University (3-0-1) also made it into the rankings, moving up from No. 10 to No. 9 in the USCHO poll and jumping two spots to No. 8 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine rankings.

Minnesota State University-Mankato (2-2-0) and the University of Minnesota-Duluth (3-2-1) edged into the Top 20 in the poll with the Mavericks coming it at No. 16 and the Bulldogs rounding it out at No. 20. Both earned votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll but did not break into the Top 15.
