Behind the scenes of every well-oiled hockey family is a hockey mom making sure everything runs smooth. McCally-Lee Entertainment wants to bring those moms to the forefront with their own reality TV show, aptly named Hockey Moms.
Coming to 45TV this winter, the reality show will be broadcast in the Twin Cities and KAAL-TV in the Rochester/Albert Lea/Austin area.
“At 45TV and Hubbard Broadcasting, we want to encourage and support local programming,” said Susan Wenz, KSTC-TV45 Station Manager. “We think Hockey Moms is a great example of that commitment. The show works well with the 45TV brand of high school sports. It is a win-win in so many ways."
Currently, the program’s producers are on the hunt for cast members. Producers are looking for moms and their hockey-centric families to be available during the shooting schedule this fall. Colorful hockey moms who are fun, edgy and willing to show off their family’s lifestyle are encouraged to apply.
Online casting begins August 19 and will run through September 9. The final selection of moms will be announced Sept. 16, following two rounds of callbacks. Hockey Moms will premiere in the heart of the hockey season, on December 26, and draw to a close on March 5 during the Boys State AA High School Hockey Championship.
"My Co-Executive Producer and business partner Randy Lee and I are very excited about this fantastic programming and promotional partnership with 45TV and KAAL-TV," notes John McCally, McCally-Lee Entertainment CEO and Show Creator. "Hockey Moms will be a fun, dramatic and emotional television series that will appeal to all Minnesotans, and others outside the state, whether they have an association with hockey or not."
