Two former Gophers join coaching legend at Cretin-Derham Hall

Former Golden Gophers John Pohl and Krissy Wendell Pohl were hired onto the Cretin-Derham Hall girls’ hockey coaching staff this past July.

John, who is also a Business Education Teacher at Cretin-Derham Hall, was named the 1998 Mr. Hockey before winning a National Championship at the University of Minnesota in 2002.

Krissy Wendell Pohl won a state championship and was named 2000 Ms. Hockey at Park Center High School before winning two National Championships with the Gophers. She would later captain the 2006 U.S. Women’s Olympic Team.

Coaching legend Terry Skrypek will continue as an assistant. The Raiders will be a team to watch.
